AI tech regulation in 5-6 months, says minister of state for IT and Electronics Rajeev Chandrasekhar

India's Minister of State for IT and Electronics, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, has stated that artificial intelligence (AI) should not be demonized and that India will work towards creating an early regulatory framework around it. He emphasized the need for a global consensus on managing challenges related to AI, such as job impact, privacy, weaponization, and criminalization. Chandrasekhar also mentioned the importance of addressing risks and ensuring safety and trust in AI platforms.
