Hungary government to relaunch 'golden visa' programme
Thursday, 16 November 2023 Hungary's government has introduced a new "golden visa" programme as part of a draft bill regulating immigration to the country. The programme, called the "guest-investor visa," is for individuals affiliated with projects deemed "strategically important investments" by the government. This visa is a prerequisite for a 10-year residence permit, which can be extended for another 10 years. The new programme comes after a previous "golden visa scheme" was scrapped in 2017.
