Health focus drives supplement popping

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 5 December 2023
The demand for supplements and nutraceuticals is on the rise, with a survey showing a significant increase in the purchase of these products. In September 2023, 31% of all billings at chemists were on nutraceuticals, up from 24% the previous year. The majority of the billings were for immunity boosters, supplements, and products for skin and hair. This growth in the market aligns with the success of drug companies like Cipla, Piramal Pharma, and Mankind, who have seen steady revenue growth in their OTC portfolios.
