Foreign fund ownership in NSE-listed companies stood at just over 18% at September-end, almost almost at the same level it was over a decade ago, a report showed. In contrast, mutual fund holding in listed companies is at an all time high at nearly 9%, mainly because of strong flows through SIPs, the report by NSE said. "While actively managed funds held 7.1% in NSE listed companies, the balance 1.7% was held by passively managed funds. This has been led by strong net investments by mutual funds during this period, aided by ever-increasing fund mobilisation through the SIP route.
