IOC net leaps to Rs 8,063cr as oil slides but fuel prices stay amid price freeze

Indian Oil Corporation's net profit surged to Rs 8,063 crore in Q3 2023, driven by lower crude prices and unchanged fuel prices. The profit, however, decreased by 37% sequentially. The company's gross refining margin was $13.2 per barrel in April-December 2023, and it reported higher profit due to increased marketing margin and lower exchange losses.
