The success of Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer in India is due to the director's brand value, good content, and early advance booking, according to film experts. Despite a controversial scene involving a verse from the Bhagwad Gita, the film's appeal to intellectuals has not been affected. The high price of the movie ticket has also contributed to the film's success, and its release on 1,900 screens and in Hindi and English helped its performance. The movie has starred widespread accolades due to its portrayal of Oppenheimer and the ethical dilemmas surrounding nuclear weapons.
