The Producers Guild of India and Multiplex Association of India announced that this weekend had the 'busiest single weekend' post-pandemic, drawing in more than 2.10 crore people to cinemas across the country, a new record in the 100-year film industry history. The films helped boost business to a nationwide gross of over Rs 400 crore. Rajinikanth's 'Jailer' led the race, earning an all-India gross of an estimated Rs 162 crore over its 4-day weekend followed by Sunny Deol's 'Gadar'.
