Thursday, 28 December 2023 Lee Sun-Kyun, a 48-year-old South Korean actor famous for his part in the Oscar-winning movie Parasite, was found dead in a car at a park in Seoul on December 27, 2023. Earlier that day, the police began searching for him after receiving a report from his wife, Jeon Hye-Jin, who found a suicide note at their home. The actor was also under investigation for suspected drug use.
After his shock passing from an apparent suicide, it’s been revealed ‘Parasite’ star Lee Sun-kyun had been dropped from a string of projects weeks before his death amid a drugs probe.
Lee Sun-kyun was investigated over allegations of illegal drug use, and Incheon police say the entire process was justified and done with the actor’s consent.
