Incheon Metropolitan Police chief Kim Hui-jung defended the entire process, which was done with Lee's consent. Lee's death has raised questions about the probe's harshness and public nature. Kim said the questioning was necessary and conducted in the presence of Lee's lawyer. Lee had denied knowingly taking drugs and claimed he was tricked by a bar hostess.
