Four stowaways travel 3,500 miles in tiny space on cargo ship - but not to their intended destination
Wednesday, 2 August 2023 Four Nigerian stowaways survived two weeks in the tiny space above the rudder of a cargo ship as it travelled 3,500 miles of ocean from their home country to Brazil.
Images released by Brazil's federal police show officers on a speedboat approaching a cargo ship as it makes its way towards the port of Vitoria, off the southeastern state of Espirito Santo. Four Nigerian stowaways were rescued by the police after surviving 14 days on the rudder of the cargo ship.

A source familiar with the situation said that the foundation's check was lost in the mail, but another one has been sent out. .
The issue will likely be resolved in a
matter of days, according to the source.
