Measles outbreak in West Midlands 'remains a concern', health officials say
Tuesday, 30 January 2024 An ongoing measles outbreak in the West Midlands "remains a concern", the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have said, with 127 cases of the disease across England confirmed this month.
Sir Keir Starmer has fought back after Rishi Sunak today warned the Labour leader "can't be trusted" to "keep Britain safe", with the risk of nuclear war the highest since the 1960s. Speaking in the West Midlands today, Mr Starmer said: "I know first-hand the importance of national security which is why I made such a commitment to the national security of our country."

The UK Health Security Agency said 22 cases of cryptosporidium, a waterborne disease caused by a microscopic parasite, had been confirmed in Brixham. The disease causes sickness and diarrhoea.
