Monday, 26 February 2024 A cabinet minister has appeared to leave the door open for Lee Anderson to regain the Tory party whip following his attack on Sadiq Khan that resulted in his suspension.
Former deputy Conservative Party chair, Lee Anderson, has not spoken to Rishi Sunak since he lost the whip, adding he held no malice toward the prime minister. Mr Anderson refused to rule out joining the Reform Party, saying he was not prepared to discuss his political journey.

The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has condemned the racist remarks allegedly made by a top Tory donor. According to the Guardian, Frank Hester, who has given £10m to the Tories in the past year, made racist comments about leftwing MP Diane Abbott at a meeting in 2019, including that she made him "want to hate all black women".
