Children of wrongly convicted sub-postmasters seeking 'family fund' for Post Office scandal
Saturday, 6 April 2024 The children of some of the sub-postmasters caught up in the Post Office scandal are calling for a "family fund" for the impact their parents' wrongful convictions and financial collapse had on their lives.
Former sub-postmaster Alan Bates said that "they just have to get on with it and get people paid", as he spoke out after giving evidence at the Post Office inquiry. Mr Bates was asked if he believes there will be any criminal prosecutions as a result of the scandal.
