Ahmedabad court refuses to stay Delhi LG V K Saxena's assault case trial
Wednesday, 10 May 2023 A metropolitan court in Ahmedabad has refused to stay an ongoing trial against Delhi lieutenant-governor (LG) V K Saxena in connection with an alleged assault on Narmada Bachao Andolan activist Medha Patkar in 2002.
The Supreme court of India on Thursday delivered a ruling in the favour of Delhi government in a case against the center. SC said that LG is bound by the decision of the elected governement.
