Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday assured action will be taken against those found guilty in the Kolhapur incident and appealed to the public to maintain peace and calm. The erstwhile royal town of Kolhapur in Maharshtra has been tense after protests and a shutdown call was issued by some Hindu organisations over alleged praise to the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and the Mysore King Tipu Sultan.
