Cops take wrestler to WFI office to recreate events
Friday, 9 June 2023 Tying up one of the last remaining parts of their investigation into the allegations of sexual harassment against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and secretary Vinod Tomar, Delhi Police on Friday took a woman wrestler, a complainant in one of the two FIRs, to his office in central Delhi in order to recreate the sequence of events that led to the alleged incident.
Purkayastha and Chakraborty were arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police on October 3 after it searched 30 locations connected with the online news.. DNA
In a concerning turn of events, numerous hospitals and Delhi's airport received bomb threats via email, prompting swift responses from authorities. Despite thorough searches, no suspicious items were found. This incident follows a recent surge in similar threats in Delhi and Ahmedabad, including hoax emails to over 130 schools. In response, the Delhi Police, with Interpol's assistance, is investigating the origin of the emails.
