Calcutta HC: Central forces to stay back for 10 days after poll results

The central forces to be deployed for this Saturday's panchayat polls will remain in the state for 10 days after results are declared on July 11 in view of Bengal's past record of post-poll violence, a Calcutta High Court division bench headed by Chief Justice T S Sivagnanam ordered on Thursday. The HC asked the MHA to issue necessary instructions in this regard.
