West Bengal’s rural voters stepping out of TMC-BJP bipolarity, choosing Congress, CPM

Even as trends began trickling in for West Bengal’s 3-tier rural elections, results to the entire set of 3,317 gram panchayats, 341 panchayat samitis and 20 zilla parishads won’t be known until Wednesday because counting ballots is far more time-consuming than tabulating EVM data, the election officials said.
