Sunday, 16 July 2023 Congress general secretary KC Venugopal said the party’s stand is clear and it will not tolerate any interference by the Centre in states ruled by opposition parties through the governors. He said the party has decided to oppose the Delhi ordinance in Parliament whenever a bill is introduced.
Ahead of 2024 general elections, Congress too finally relents, and moves in favour of Aam Aadmi Party over opposing the Delhi Ordinance. Several opposition parties have already committed to supporting the Aam Aadmi Party's efforts to thwart the Delhi ordinance in Rajya Sabha.
