IOC shuts gas pipeline after damage from swollen Yamuna
Rising water level in Yamuna due to continued rains has hit IndianOil Corporation’s Dadri-Panipat gas pipeline, with leakage from a potentially damaged valve detected in the stretch of passing through the river at village Jagos in Baghpat district of Haryana. A company statement said the pipeline was shut down and the pipeline section was isolated from both ends after the leakage was detected at 4.37 a.m. on Wednesday. Site assessment did not indicate any water, soil or air pollution, it said.
