2 held, sent to jail for waving pistol during kanwariya yatra

Two men were booked under the Arms Act and sent to jail in Pilibhit on Tuesday for allegedly waving a pistol during a kanwariya yatra on motorcycles a day earlier. ASP (Pilibhit) Anil Kumar Yadav said, "The yatra took place along a 46km route from Puranpur city via Dhanara Ghat of the Sharda river to a temple on Pilibhit-Basti NH-730. Two men, both locals, were arrested in Puranpur. An investigation is on and more action will be taken, if required."
