Man loses Rs 1 lakh as fraudster 'clones' ATM card in Dehradun

An unidentified fraudster has been booked by Dehradun police for allegedly withdrawing Rs 1 lakh from a man's bank account by cloning his ATM card in the city's Raipur area on Saturday. The complaint was filed by Vijay Bhushan Pandey, the official counsel of the State Bank of India (SBI)'s Raipur branch. The victim, Manbar Singh, held a joint account with his wife, Sarojini Devi, at the branch during the time of the fraud. Sub-inspector Ravindra Negi, who is handling the investigation, stated that Singh reported an unauthorized withdrawal of Rs 1 lakh from his account between October 7, 2019, and October 12, 2019.
