LPG price cut due to impact of opposition's INDIA: Mamata Banerjee
Tuesday, 29 August 2023 West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee said the central government's decision to slash LPG prices by Rs 200 was due to the impact of opposition alliance. Banerjee claimed that the reduction in prices was a result of only two meetings held by the alliance. Trinamool Congress spokesperson Kunal Ghosh dismissed the move as a "poll gimmick" ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The central government, however, stated that it was a gift to women on the occasion of Onam and Raksha Bandhan.
