Delhi: 18 lakh liquor bottles sold daily under current excise policy

In little less than 10 months of the previous regime, known as the new excise policy of 2021-22 which was withdrawn by the Delhi government after CBI registered a case alleging irregularities in its implementation, the Delhi government had earned nearly Rs 5,576 crore, including Rs 540 crore as VAT on the sale of 12.5 crore bottles, between November 17, 2021 and August 31, 2022.
