National Conference denied symbol, SC quashes Ladakh poll
Deprecating Union Territory of Ladakh for denying National Conference its rightful claim to the ‘Plough’ symbol for elections to Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil, despite the order of the Jammu & Kashmir HC, the Supreme Court on Wednesday quashed the election process and directed that fresh notification be issued within a week. The court also imposed a fine of Rs one lakh.
