Assam Assembly Speaker accepts all adjournment motions
Monday, 11 September 2023 Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary on Monday accepted all adjournment motions brought by the opposition on different issues. Daimary agreed to the motions as per suggestion by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Delhi police on Saturday detained former personal secretary of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Bibhav Kumar, in connection with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal assault case. In her complaint to the police, Maliwal alleged Kumar attacked her at Kejriwal’s residence on May 14 with “full force, slapping and kicking her in the chest and abdomen.” According to National Commission For Women (NCW) Chairperson Rekha Sharma, Kumar was ‘arrested’ from Kejriwal’s home.
