MP: Late monsoon surge closes gap with yearly rain count

IndiaTimes Monday, 25 September 2023
The Southwest monsoon in Madhya Pradesh is nearing its end, but has brought the state's rainfall close to average. Despite a delayed arrival, the monsoon has followed a normal pattern in most regions, except for six districts experiencing rainfall deficits. The total rainfall in MP aligns closely with the normal expected amount. Bhopal had a rainfall deficit of 17%, while Indore had a surplus of 49%. The weather forecast for Bhopal predicts light rain and a cloudy sky, with heavy showers expected in certain districts. Thunder and thunderclaps have also been forecasted for several divisions.
