Ram Temple's consecration ceremony likely on January 22 next year, PM Modi to attend
Tuesday, 26 September 2023 The consecration ceremony of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya is expected to take place on January 22 next year, temple construction committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra told PTI on Tuesday.Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to participate in the event related to the 'pran pratishtha' on any day during January 20-24, Mishra said.He added that the final date is yet to communicated to the Prime Minister's Office.
India completed the final phase of voting, marking the culmination of an election process that began in April. In this last phase, voters are deciding the fate of 904 candidates competing for 57 seats. The election was conducted in six phases prior to this, held on April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, and May 25. Vote counting and announcement of results are scheduled for June 4. At the heart of this election is a contest between two major alliances: the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), spearheaded by the main opposition party, the Indian National Congress.
