Manipur: After lull, violence back in Imphal West

Suspected militants attacked villages in Manipur, setting fire to houses and firing bullets. The attack occurred in the Keithelmanbi area, located between Imphal West and Kangpokpi districts. Explosives were also thrown towards villages in the foothills, causing tension in the area. Additional security forces rushed to the spot to bring the blaze under control. The attack comes amidst ongoing violence in the region, with over 175 people killed and hundreds injured since May 3, leading to the displacement of over 50,000 people and destruction of numerous houses.
