Man arrested for killing 13-year-old girl after failed rape bid in Kheri
Friday, 13 October 2023 A 13-year-old girl was found dead in a cane field in Lakhimpur Kheri district, leading to the arrest of the accused, Mohd Saddam, after a police encounter. Saddam had forcefully taken the girl to the field with the intention to rape her. He gagged her mouth with mud, pierced her eyes with sugarcane stalks, and strangled her to death. The autopsy confirmed multiple injuries on her body, including bruises on her private parts. Saddam also fired at the police, resulting in charges of attempted murder.
