Karnataka: BJP cries discrimination as Cong MLAs’ segments get Rs 40 cr each

The 16 BJP MLAs in Bengaluru are planning to meet with the chief minister and deputy chief minister to protest the alleged discrimination in the release of funds to assembly constituencies. The Congress government redistributed grants to constituencies represented by BJP legislators and allocated Rs 40 crore each to 11 assembly segments won by Congress. The only BJP MLA to receive an allocation was considering joining the Congress. This is not the first time allegations of discrimination in fund allocation have occurred, with roles changing each time the government changes.
