Maharana Pratap’s descendant, Vishvaraj, joins BJP in big Rajput boost

Descendants of Maharana Pratap and the founder of the Karni Sena have joined the BJP in hopes of gaining support from the Rajput community in Rajasthan. Vishvaraj Singh Mewar and Bhawani Singh Kalvi joined the party at the national headquarters in Delhi. It is believed that Vishvaraj may contest from Udaipur City, while Bhawani could be fielded from Degana in Nagaur district. The BJP is seeking to strengthen its position in both Udaipur City and Nagaur district by bringing in these major political families.
