Both, helpline 1930 and NCRP, saved over Rs 765cr of defrauded money from reaching fraudsters: MHA

The National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) and helpline number '1930' have prevented Rs 765 crore of defrauded money from reaching online fraudsters, according to the Indian home ministry. The NCRP has received around 5,000 complaints on a daily basis since its establishment in 2019, totaling around 29 lakh complaints so far. The ministry also highlighted the efforts of the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) in raising awareness about cyber security through campaigns and laser beam displays at Qutub Minar.
