After May 17, Delhi's AQI very poor again, relief unlikely soon

IndiaTimes Sunday, 22 October 2023
Delhi's air quality worsened to "very poor" on Sunday, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 313. The main sources of pollution were identified as vehicular pollution and stubble burning. Unfavorable weather conditions, such as calm air and low temperatures, contributed to the accumulation of pollutants. The concentration of PM2.5 also exceeded the safe limits set by national and international standards. Mitigation measures are being discussed, but relief from poor air quality is not expected until October 25.
