PM’s Lakhpati didi scheme: Drone destination to train women to operate kisan drones
Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Ltd (IFFCO) has partnered with Drone Destination to launch a training program for women under PM Modi's "Lakhpati Didi Yojana". The program aims to empower women-led self-help groups by training them as skilled drone operators and entrepreneurs. The government will provide drones to thousands of women from 15,000 self-help groups and aims to create two crore 'lakhpati didis' in villages. Drone Destination plans to provide training to more than 10,000 women from self-help groups on various drone operations and maintenance courses. The requirement of a passport to become a drone operator has also been removed by the Union aviation ministry.
