How British quenched natives' thirst with 2 'underground organs' in SoBo

IndiaTimes Monday, 23 October 2023
The Hanging Gardens of Malabar Hill in Mumbai are famous for their beautiful water reservoir that lies beneath. Similarly, the Joseph Baptista Gardens in Mazgaon also have an underground reservoir. These reservoirs are part of a complex network of underground pipes that provide water to the city. The Mazgaon garden offers a stunning view of the eastern waterfront and a freeway. Both reservoirs have historical significance and were built in the late 19th century. They receive water from lakes in western Maharashtra and supply it to the city.
