Rajasthan MLA loses ticket to husband, says party chose ‘better person’

Shafia Khan, an outgoing Rajasthan Congress MLA, is feeling half-happy and half-heartbroken as her husband, Zubair Khan, has been chosen by the party to replace her in the upcoming assembly elections. Shafia acknowledges that the party has selected a "better person," but is disappointed as she believed there would be increased representation for women in politics. Zubair, however, believes that it would be unfair for two members of the same family to receive tickets, as others have worked hard for the party too.
