Unemployment rate among educated youth drops in Punjab

The unemployment rate among educated youth in Punjab has slightly improved in the 2022-23 period compared to the previous year. However, the state still faces challenges as the unemployment rate among graduates exceeds the national average and that of neighboring states. The unemployment rate in Punjab dropped from 6.4% to 6.1% during the assessment period. The analysis also reveals that 17% of youth with a diploma or certificate course were unemployed, while 16.9% of graduates and 8.4% of individuals with postgraduate education faced joblessness.
