Rajnath Singh reviews preparedness in Tawang amid LAC stand-off
Tuesday, 24 October 2023 Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh conducted a review of military preparedness along the Arunachal Pradesh frontier, including the strategically important Tawang area. This comes amid heightened tensions along the Line of Actual Control with China. Singh emphasized the need for India to strengthen its defence and security apparatus and highlighted the efforts being made to enhance the combat capabilities of the armed forces through indigenous defence production. He also praised the troops for their commitment and courage in guarding the border.

West Bengal recorded the highest turnout till 5 PM at 77.57 per cent, followed by Tripura at 76.10 per cent.
