A court in Delhi has directed the government to assign a probationary officer to submit a pre-sentence report in the 2008 murder case of journalist Soumya Vishwanathan. The report must be filed within one week. The convicts' counsels claimed they were unable to prepare the required affidavits as they did not have the necessary details.
