A woman from Thane, India, lost about Rs 20 lakh after being tricked by fraudsters posing as officials from CBI, NCB, and Mumbai police. The fraudsters claimed that a package with her name had drugs and currency, and threatened her with arrest. They asked her to download an app and make video calls to 'officials', and then made her pay for bank verification and share crucial documents. The fraudsters then used her credentials to secure a personal loan, which resulted in the loss of money.
