Amit Jogi takes on CM Bhupesh Baghel, Patan now a 3-way contest

Amit Jogi, president of the regional party Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (JCC-J), has filed his nomination papers to contest against Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in the Patan constituency. This move creates a three-way competition as the BJP has fielded Baghel's nephew, Vijay Baghel, in the same constituency. Jogi stated that he is fighting against corruption and is the representative of the victims of the Public Service Commission (PSC) recruitment scam. The election is scheduled for November 17. JCC (J) has fielded candidates in 84 seats and is supporting candidates from other parties.
