24-year-old Ghatlodia man shot dead on riverfront walkway

A 24-year-old man from Ghatlodia, Ahmedabad, was found shot dead near Dadhichi Bridge. The victim, Smit Gohil, had gone to meet friends and assured his family he would return home in 10 minutes. However, when his father woke up the next morning, Smit was not at home. He received a call from the police informing him about his son's death. Smit had suffered a bullet wound on the left side of his chest and an exit wound in his back. The police suspect the use of a country-made pistol and are investigating the case.
