SC lists November 22 for hearing plea seeking implementation of Women Reservation Bill before 2024 polls

IndiaTimes Friday, 3 November 2023
The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for a plea seeking the immediate implementation of the Women's Reservation Bill before the 2024 general elections. The petitioner argues that there has been a lack of adequate representation of women in parliament and state legislatures for the past 75 years. The court has refused to issue notice on the plea at this stage and asked the petitioner to serve the copy to the other side. The plea will be heard on November 22, 2023.
