Class X student hangs self on school premises in Khurda

A Class X student in Khurda district allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree on the school campus after the principal confiscated his mobile phone. The reason for the suicide is still being investigated, but the student's roommates mentioned that he was upset about the incident. The school principal denied punishing the boy and stated that mobile phones are only allowed on Sundays. Psychiatrists have noted the adverse impact of mobile phone addiction on children, leading to hyperactivity and aggression.
