Saturday, 4 November 2023 The Congress party has released its sixth list of candidates for the upcoming Rajasthan assembly elections. The list includes 22 nominees, but does not feature Minister Mahesh Joshi, who represented the Hawa Mahal constituency. Instead, R R Tiwari, the president of the party's Jaipur unit, has been nominated. This brings the total number of declared candidates to 178 out of 200 seats. The elections are scheduled for November 25, with vote counting on December 3.

Polling in 102 parliamentary seats across 21 states and Union Territories in the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections commenced at 7 am on April 19 and ended at 6 pm. Over 102 parliamentary constituencies in 21 states and union territories headed to the polling booth on Friday, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. West Bengal recorded the highest turnout till 5 PM at 77.57 per cent, followed by Tripura at 76.10 per cent. Voter turnout in Assam stood at 70.77 per cent, while Manipur recorded a voter turnout of 68.58 per cent till 5 PM.
