No one can eradicate any ideology: Madras HC

IndiaTimes Monday, 6 November 2023
The Madras High Court has stated that no individual in the country has the right to promote divisive ideas or hold meetings to abolish any ideology. The court made this statement while refusing to grant permission for a meeting aimed at eradicating the Dravidian ideology. The court also criticized the lack of police action against ministers and members of the ruling DMK party who participated in a meeting to eradicate Sanatana Dharma, a move that sparked controversy and calls for disqualification. The court emphasized the importance of promoting unity and focusing on more pressing issues such as health, corruption, and social evils.
