Kerala governor promises action after farmer commits suicide
Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has expressed his condolences and promised action in the case of a farmer who committed suicide. The farmer, K.G. Prasad, left a suicide note blaming the state government for his death. Prasad's relatives claim that he did not receive proper medical attention at the hospital. Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan criticized the government for its handling of the agrarian sector and warned that more farmer suicides could occur.
