Sunday, 12 November 2023 Two cousins in Kanpur, India, were tragically killed after being run over by a train while watching a World Cup match on their mobile phones. The victims, identified as Ashish Kumar and Subhash Kumar, were sitting on the railway tracks with their earphones plugged in when they were hit by a train. The incident occurred in the Sachendi area of the district. Ashish had aspirations of joining the army, while Subhash also wanted to pursue a career in the military. The bodies were handed over to their respective families after postmortem examinations.
