PM Modi continues tradition, celebrates Diwali with security forces in Himachal's Lepcha
Sunday, 12 November 2023 Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued with his tradition of spending Diwali with jawans, as he reached Himachal's Lepcha on Sunday morning, to once again mark the occasion alongside the security forces. Last year, PM Modi celebrated Diwali with soldiers in Kargil and paid tribute to the Army personnel who lost their lives in the 1999 Kargil war. The Prime Minister while addressing the soldiers said India is against war but also underscored the need for strength to ensure peace.
On Sunday 12th November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Lepcha, Himachal Pradesh, to mark Diwali in the company of our courageous security forces. Sharing images on X, previously known as Twitter, PM Modi expressed his joy at celebrating the festival with the soldiers.
